We are resuming with regular admissions for 2017-2018 academic year, for which you can apply following the process below. Admissions for 2018-2019 will open on January 1, 2018. Join our mailing list by entering your email address in the box to the right to ensure you receive up-to-date information about admissions and more.

Acceptance for children in the Early Childcare Center, Montessori, elementary, and middle school programs is determined by the application process on a first-come, first-serve basis and an interview is required for Montessori and above grade levels. We welcome all applicants and ask that you follow the admissions procedure as outlined below. All students entering the ECC-Infant program must be 12 months of age by the first day of school and must be walking. All students entering the ECC-Toddler program must be 18 months of age by the first day of school. For ECC applicants, the age of your child upon date of enrollment will determine to which class (Infant to Toddler) you should apply for your child. All students entering the Montessori program must be 3, 4, or 5 years of age by September 30. All Montessori students must be fully potty-trained. All first graders should turn 6 by September 30.

Submit the below listed items upon initial application. All items must be completed and turned in for the application to be considered valid. Preference will be given to students applying by the Priority Admissions deadline over students applying after the deadline.

1. Application submission via this TADS Admissions process: Click here to apply at
Non-refundable application fee payment via TADS credit card, bank draft, or mailed check ($65 if applying by Priority Admissions deadline; $125 thereafter) at the end of the TADS application process
3. Copy of applicant's birth certificate or passport mailed, faxed, or emailed to ILM Academy (only for all new applicants)
4. Copy of previous year’s report card mailed, faxed, or emailed to ILM Academy (only for new incoming 1st-8th grade applicants not currently attending ILM Academy)
5. Records Request form with transcripts mailed, faxed, or emailed to ILM Academy from previous/current school's administrative office (only for new incoming 1st-8th grade applicants not currently attending ILM Academy)
6. Applicant Evaluation form mailed, faxed, or emailed to ILM Academy from previous/current teacher of applicant (only for new incoming 1st-8th grade applicants not attending ILM Academy)

Parent interviews are required for families new to ILM Academy and student interviews are required for all students new to ILM Academy. Once the application is submitted, you will be contacted to schedule an appointment for the interview.

Due to the high volume of applications every year, we do have a waiting list for several grade levels in the school. The Montessori levels usually have longer waiting lists than the elementary grades. There is no limit to how long our waiting list can be and we will continue to add applicants to the waiting list if they fully apply by completing the TADS admissions process, turning in required documentation, and paying the required admissions fee.

After the admissions process is followed and the aforementioned items are completed and turned in, we prioritize our waiting list by factoring in the criteria below:

- applying fully within the Priority Admissions period
- having siblings already enrolled in the school
- having siblings already accepted into the school, with higher priority given for students with siblings accepted into grades with more vacancies, such as middle school grades
- being the child of a member of school leadership (such as staff or AP member)
- performance on the interview
- performance on the placement test (applicable to elementary and middle school applicants only)
- academic standing in prior school records (applicable to elementary and middle school applicants only)
- evaluation letter from teacher of academic year prior to the one being applied for (applicable to elementary and middle school applicants only)
- date of application

Students are accepted from the waiting list as positions open up. Openings in the Montessori are filled by age level; therefore, moving off the Montessori waiting list is not correlated with how long someone has been on the waiting list, but is dependent upon all the factors listed above plus the age level of the child. ILM Academy does not accept students based on personal relationships with members of the administration of ILM Academy, ISGH, IEIT BOT, or ILM Academy AP members or with the promise of financial donations.

The school does not discriminate in enrollment on the basis of race, gender, religion, or national origin. However, we do try to maintain a balance in the variety of ages and genders in the Montessori classrooms. Also, in the admissions process you are about to begin, you will be asked for the ethnicity of your applicant. This does not affect his/her admissions status and is only for us to use as survey data of the diversity of families applying to our school, as required for accreditation and governmental reporting standards.
